Art of Surveillance

Art of Surveillance documents the cameras that watch public spaces — including places many people would prefer to visit without being photographed, logged and tracked. We focus on license-plate readers and other surveillance devices, sharing photos, exact locations, and what they can see.

Some posts are straightforward. Some lean toward satire. All of them start with the same idea: knowing the cameras are there is the first step.

All photos on Art of Surveillance are released under Creative Commons CC0 and are free to use for any purpose. No permission is needed. Credit is nice but optional.
